Senior Developer and Team Lead
We are seeking an experienced Senior Developer and Team Lead to join our dynamic development team. In this role, you will provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of five developers. You will work closely with the CTO to ensure the successful delivery of complex projects while fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.
Key responsibilities
- Technical leadership:
- Lead the development of high-quality software solutions using TypeScript, Kotlin Multi-Platform, React Native, and React.
- Oversee the implementation of architectural designs of projects involving W3C Verifiable Credentials, ISO MDL/MDOC, OpenID for Verifiable Credentials, and OpenID Federation.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in coding, architecture, and security.
- Together with the CTO and certain Senior Developers you will be working on designing the architecture of the solutions and products
- Team management:
- Mentor and guide team members to enhance their technical skills and professional growth.
- Facilitate task clarification and technical assistance within the Scrum framework using Jira,Confluence, and similar tools..
- Conduct regular code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge.
- Team coordination:
- Collaborate with the CTO to align development activities with strategic objectives.
- Lead agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Manage timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation effectively.
- Problem-solving:
- Assist the team in diagnosing and resolving technical issues promptly.
- Encourage innovative solutions and approaches to technical challenges.
- Technologies you’ll work with:
- Programming Languages: TypeScript, Kotlin Multi-Platform, Java
- Frameworks/Libraries: React Native, React
- Standards and Protocols: W3C Verifiable Credentials, ISO MDL/MDOC, OpenID for Verifiable Credentials, OpenID Federation
- Tools: Jira,Confluence, Github
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years in a leadership or team lead role.
- Proven experience with TypeScript
- Strong proficiency in React Native and React for application development.
- Pre: experience in Kotlin Multi-Platform.and/or Java
- Pre: Experience working with W3C Verifiable Credentials, ISO MDL/MDOC, OpenID for Verifiable Credentials is highly desirable.
- Pre: Experience in digital identity technologies
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, and experience with Jira.

- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

About the Team:
You will be leading a dedicated, multicultural, and international team of five senior developers who are enthusiastic about technology and innovation.
We work in a hybrid mode, with most working days remote from home and one day per week at our office in Amsterdam. Depending on the project or its phase, there may be periods where working more than one day per week from the office is needed for some weeks.
