Data sovereignty

Data is sovereign in Self-Sovereign Identity solutions because it is not centrally stored or controlled.

Autonomous

Verifiable Credentials (VC) are exchanged autonomously between the stakeholders. The data producer (Issuer) issues the VC to the subject (Holder).

When requested, the owner decides if and what data to present to the data processor (Verifier).

This all happens autonomous: independent of central storage or authority.
